Walk through the doors of Virginia Beach Elks Lodge #2268 on South First Colonial Road and strangers become friends before the first round is poured. That is not marketing language, it is what members and visiting Elks from lodges across the country actually report. Guests from as far as New Jersey have checked their cards at the door and left hours later feeling like regulars.

The lodge carries the BPOE's 150-plus-year mission of charity, justice, brotherly love, and fidelity into everything it does here on the Virginia Beach coast. Fundraising nights run on the floor regularly, with crowd-favorite formats like "Let's Make a Deal" keeping the energy high and the cause funded. And when the weather cooperates, which it often does this close to the Atlantic, the outdoor tiki hut draws a crowd that would make any beach bar envious.

With a near-perfect 4.9-star rating across dozens of reviews, Lodge #2268 has built something genuinely rare: a civic organization that people look forward to visiting. The combination of purposeful giving, genuine warmth, and an outdoor setup that captures the best of coastal Virginia keeps members coming back and visiting Elks raving long after they return home.

What We Offer

Lodge #2268 offers members and their guests a full calendar of events, social evenings, and fundraising activities throughout the year. Regular fundraising nights put dollars directly toward local charities and national Elks programs, and the formats change often enough to keep things lively. The lodge's bar and lounge give members a comfortable place to unwind after a long week, and the outdoor tiki hut area is a genuine highlight when Virginia Beach delivers one of its warm evenings.

Beyond the social side, the lodge supports community programs including youth scholarships, veterans assistance, and drug awareness initiatives that are core to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks mission nationwide. Visiting Elks members are always welcome with a valid membership card, making Lodge #2268 a reliable home-away-from-home for traveling members. Whether you are looking to get involved in civic service or simply enjoy good company, the lodge provides the structure and the atmosphere to make it happen.

"My wife Kathy and I visited the VA Beach Elks. We are members of the Lacey Elks in Forked River NJ. As we entered they adked if we were members and checked our Elks card. Once they knew we were fellow Elks, they announced us as visiting Elks and put out the red carpet. This Elks were the friendliest and warmest people you ever want to meet. The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
